We help our project partners utilize cutting-edge transportation modeling technology that is under active development at US national research labs, world-leading universities, and at Simrise.
Our modeling approach is rooted in the field of complex systems and is based on the idea of creating a digital replica of the transportation-relevant supply and demand aspects of specific regions. Our simulations are centered around individual behavior modeling, which is often referred to as agent-based modeling.
Simrise has contributed to transportation modeling projects for the US Departments of Transportation and Energy, national research labs, Silicon Valley start-ups, and leading technology companies. More recently Simrise has started to partner with transportation consulting companies to offer our expertise to transportation planning authorities.
Our founder has 15 years of experience in agent-based modeling of transportation systems and has been a core developer and co-creator of the open-source MATSim and BEAM transportation simulation frameworks. Most of our team members have years of experience developing and applying our simulation technologies.
A portfolio of projects and transportation simulation expertise of our team is shared here. Besides the listed use cases, our team also develops custom transportation models to meet the needs of our clients.
